The “Peaceful Investing” workshop was held in Pune on February 12, 2017. The workshop was aimed at sharing equity investing knowledge with the participants that could help them gain confidence while taking their equity investment decisions.
This workshop was our first in Pune and the presence of participants coming to Pune from Bangalore, Indore, Kolhapur, Mumbai and different areas of Maharashtra made it a special occasion for us.
The presence of outstation participants from distant cities shows that confidence that investors have placed in us. It was a similar case when we had the privilege of participants coming from:
- Ireland, Kerala, different parts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh etc. to attend the workshop in Chennai in December 2016
- Calicut, Goa, Trichy, Mysore, Vishakhapatnam etc. to Bangalore to attend the workshop in November 2016.
- Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Mussoorie etc. to Delhi for the Peaceful Investing workshop in October 2016.
- Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Nanded, Pune and Bharuch coming to Mumbai for second “Peaceful Investing” workshop in September 2016 to attend it
- Chandigarh to Mumbai to attend the first “Peaceful Investing” workshop in August 2016
We are truly honoured to have such faith from investors and it gave us immense pleasure to know that the participants found the workshop valuable and added to their stock analysis skills.
The workshop focussed on concepts of stock investing including different aspect of analysis like financial analysis, business & industry analysis, valuation analysis and management analysis along with price to pay for any stock. The workshop also focused on different data sources available to the retail investors for doing stock analysis and an in-depth understanding using Screener, which is one of the best data source available for Indian stocks
The workshop included a dedicated session on answering different queries faced by the participants while doing investments and stock analysis.
A lot of participants shared their feedback about the workshop and their learnings from it. Below are the feedbacks of some of the participants:

Dear Vijay Sir,
The workshop in Pune, is an eye-opener for me. Your method of peaceful investing is great, I know the importance of business analysis, and all your five pillars first time, if we follow it, it will definitely yields great returns, people in value investing always says, MOAT and all those concepts, but you teach how to find the MOAT, it’s great. You have complete rational and practical approach towards peaceful investing. The way you conduct workshop is great, your energy, enthusiasm is awesome, you teach not the sake of teaching, you teach to understand the concept thoroughly, last but not least,, if anybody want to be a value investor, must invest in your workshop first then in stocks. Thanks & Regards
Harish S. Kawalkar
The program was very good. Your sincerity was the highlight; especially because our industry is not known for this quality. I appreciated your forthright dismissal of PEG ratio, P/BV and the MOSL wealth creation study. All of these rejections were spot on. I could not agree with your views on position sizing.
You cannot improve this program in my humble opinion. It is already five star. You should have another full day program devoted to next level topics. Regards

Thanks a lot Dr. Vijay.
You made finance subject easy to understand for non-finance person. You always exhibited your confidence in your approach and consistency in thoughts. You avoided repeated and irrelevant question to keep focus on topic. You never crtisized other approaches n investor. My second objective was to understand you as person as following your advice ,it met expectations. Looking for long term association with you. Regards

Thanks for conducting workshop in Pune. It was great learning experience for me. Though I have gone through your website and the book in the past, it was indeed pleasure to see / hear it from you. Typically I categorize the experience in following areas to provide the feedback for workshops. I hope you find it useful.
- Agenda and Content of the workshop: 5 out of 5
- Content Delivery: 5 out of 5
- Course Communication: 5 out of 5
- Facilities: 4 out of 5 ( there was an issue with the audio facility and needs to be communicated to the hotel).
This is one of the best workshops I have attended so far in last couple of years. Regards,

It was a great learning experience for a person like me with no finance/commerce background. Since there are many financial ratios referred in fundamental analysis, which one to choose while screening a right opportunity was always a challenge. This workshop has definitely helped me reducing that noise by way of a step by step approach towards identifying potential investment candidate. Especially the steps mentioned to identify a good management was very helpful since it’s a challenge for a retail investor who has near no access to management of the company.
And once again thank you very much for making the world of “Fundamental Analysis” interesting for non-finance professional like me. Warm Regards,

Hello Dr. Vijay Malik Sir,
I am Somasundara Rao Matu, who attended peaceful investing workshop in 12th Feb 2017 In Pune. Though I am crawling kid in terms of investing, I was very much impressed by your methodology that you have developed over the time which gives a logical direction in picking right stock and right time of investing. It definitely inculcated investing skills in stocks that I was lacking of earlier.

Hello Dr. Vijay,
First of all it was good session we had on Sunday. My most important take away are fund flow analysis, observing for numbers & confirming reasoning from reports. Management analysis is again great eye opener. Sincerely,
